Product Testing, Standards & Disclosures
At Purity Air Filters, we believe clarity and transparency matter more than overstated claims. This page explains how our products are designed, what testing is performed, what standards may be referenced, and where responsibility begins and ends.
Scope of This Page
This information applies to products sold by Purity Air Filters and associated brands. Testing methods, standards, and verification processes may vary by product type, supplier, and application.
Product Design Responsibility
Purity Air Filters designs and validates select product components, including:
- Reusable aluminum filter frames
- Mechanical fit and retention systems
- Compatibility with standard residential HVAC filter housings
- General airflow behavior under typical operating conditions
Our internal evaluations focus on mechanical performance and system compatibility, not on medical, environmental, or regulatory certification.
Filtration Media Sourcing & Manufacturing
Many Purity Air Filters products, including EverFilter® systems, utilize filtration media manufactured by third-party suppliers.
For these products:
- Filtration media is produced according to supplier-defined specifications
- Quality control and performance testing of the raw media occur within the supplier's production environment
- Performance characteristics are based on supplier-provided data and internal manufacturing tests
Supplier Testing & Certifications
Certain products, including select commercial or specialty filtration products, are manufactured, tested, and verified entirely within supplier production facilities.
For such products:
- Testing protocols, methodologies, and any referenced standards are established by the supplier
- Certifications, ratings, or test results are attributable to the supplier alone
- Purity Air Filters does not control, supervise, or validate supplier testing processes
Purity Air Filters does not assume responsibility for third-party testing methods, certifications, or claims and does not represent that such testing applies across its full product lineup.
Referenced Performance Standards
Some products may reference commonly recognized HVAC filtration ranges (such as MERV classifications) based on supplier data.
Important clarifications:
- Referenced standards are provided for informational purposes only
- Ratings are not certifications of the finished product unless explicitly stated
- Performance may vary based on HVAC system design, airflow, installation quality, and operating conditions
Separation of Components and Performance
EverFilter® and similar products consist of distinct components:
- A reusable aluminum frame designed by Purity Air Filters
- Replaceable filtration media sourced from third-party manufacturers
Purity Air Filters' internal validation applies to frame performance, fit, and airflow interaction. Filtration efficiency and particle capture characteristics are attributes of the media itself, as defined by the supplier.
No filtration claim should be interpreted as a guarantee of performance across all systems or environments.
System-Dependent Performance
Actual performance depends on factors outside our control, including:
- HVAC system configuration and condition
- Airflow rates and duty cycles
- Environmental conditions
- Installation accuracy
As a result, filtration outcomes will vary between installations.
Air Quality & Informational Tools
Any references to air quality, particle capture, or assessment tools provided by Purity Air Filters are intended for general informational purposes only.
Products such as the EverFilter® Air Assessment Test:
- Do not diagnose indoor air conditions
- Do not certify air quality
- Do not replace professional testing or environmental evaluation services
Results should be interpreted as observational indicators, not definitive measurements.
No Universal or Guaranteed Results
Testing references, standards, or performance descriptions:
- Are not guarantees of outcome
- Do not imply suitability for all applications
- Should not be used as the sole basis for health, safety, or regulatory decisions
Our Commitment to Accurate Representation
We intentionally avoid exaggerated, absolute, or implied claims. Our goal is to provide:
- Clear product descriptions
- Honest expectations
- Conservative, defensible performance statements
